Melanie Brand
Wissenschaftlicher Werdegang
Melanie Brand ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Ethnologie und Kulturanthropologie. Ihr Studium der Soziologie (B.A., M.A.) absolvierte sie an der Universität Konstanz mit kultursoziologischem Schwerpunkt.
Im Rahmen ihres Promotionsprojekts The Truth of Violence. Domestic Violence Counselling in Urban South Africa untersucht sie institutionalisierte Beratungs- und Hilfsangebote, die sich vorwiegend an Opfer aber auch an Täter häuslicher Gewalt richten. Forschungsblog
Seit Juni 2017 ist sie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Forschungs- und Transferprojekt DNR - Death Notification with Responsibility tätig. Projektwebseite
