Fania Oz-Salzberger is an Israeli historian researching the European Enlightenment and the history of political thought. She was raised in Kibbutz Hulda, served as an officer in the IDF and studied at Tel Aviv University before getting her doctoral degree in Oxford University.
Professor emerita of the University of Haifa, she holds a doctorate honoris causa from Uppsala University. She held professorships and fellowships in the Berlin Institute of Advanced Study, Princeton University, Monash University in Melbourne, Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and more. Following 7/10, she spoke for moderate Zionism and for the two state solution on several media outlets including CNN, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel and The New Statesman.
