In a public event, Dr. Yeliena Kovalska (sociologist at the University of Konstanz) will present the results of a Europe-wide quantitative survey. The event will be held in English and German.

The war in Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, triggered a huge flow of Ukrainian refugees to many countries around the world, especially in Europe. The forced migration of Ukrainian refugees is one of the biggest migration crises worldwide in the 21st century.

After 1.5 years of war, we asked them:

- What motivates them to return to Ukraine?

- What are their fears and obstacles to returning?

- How do Ukrainians feel abroad?

- Who has already returned?

- Who plans to stay in Europe forever?

After the presentation we will discuss the results of the survey and ideas in support of refugees in Konstanz.

The research was initiated and carried out by Factum Group Ukraine as part of the YOUkraine social research project.
