Besides our focus on survey methodology and survey experiments, research interests cover labor market processes, social inequality, discrimination on markets, social network analysis, and the structure of the academic system. We run the surveyLAB, an infrastructure platform for the social sciences at the University of Konstanz. Once a year, our group conducts the Konstanz Citizen Survey. Since 2018, Thomas Hinz and Susanne Strauß have headed the Research Group on Higher Education at the University of Konstanz. The project team is working on the preparation of a nationwide survey among students. The survey will focus on political orientations, attitudes towards inequality and fairness in the educational system, and transitions in studies.
