Scientific Advisory Coucil

Since the beginning of its work, the Research Group on Higher Education Research has been accompanied by a scientific advisory board. From 1982 to 2016, the focus was on the research project "Studiensituation und studentische Orientierungen", with the Student Survey. Since 2019, it has been the research project "One for All. The Student Survey in Germany", which is carried out together with the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) and the German National Association for Student Affairs (Deutsches Studierendenwerk - DSW) as joint partners and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) unit 415 Academic Research.

The scientific advisory council includes:


Three points are emphasized as the purpose of the advisory council:

  1. Advice regarding the long-term research orientation.
  2. Advice regarding the quality of the scientific work of the research group.
  3. Support in the exchange of information on a national and international level.


Since the new appointment of the scientific advisory board for the SiD research project, four meetings have been held (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023), each with the Research Group on Higher Education and with representatives of the BMBF.
