Information about the courses

What do I need ZEuS and ILIAS for?

ZEuS is the campus management system, ILIAS is the system for organising courses. Over the course of the semester, many courses are actively organised there - with your participation.

You can find a video explaining ILIAS here.

The ZEuS Wiki contains up-to-date information and instructions on how to use Zeus.

How do I get my login data?

To register for a course, you first need the login data for ZEuS. You will receive this when you enrol (matriculation). If you have any questions or problems, please contact zeus-support@uni-konstanz.de.

Use the login data to log in to ZEuS. You can find instructions here

Which courses should I attend in the 1st semester?

When planning your timetable, first find out which courses are planned for your semester. To do so, consult the module guide, which can be found on the homepage of the Sociology programme (Bachelor minor subject).

There you will find detailed information on the individual modules and recommendations for the first semester.

How can I register for my courses?

Search for the course catalogue in ZEuS under "Courses" and click down through the directory tree to your modules and courses until you cannot click any further.

You can only enrol for your courses within the deadline specified there.

The detailed view of a course gives you the opportunity to find out about the course in advance and to carry out preliminary research on the topic.

Which technical equipment do I need?

You will need a computer with internet access (WiFi), webcam and microphone as well as common office (e.g. LibreOffice) and video conferencing software (Zoom, Webex).

Cooperation with Zeppelin University

Students on the Bachelor's degree programme in Sociology also have the opportunity to attend courses on the Sociology, Politics & Economics programme as part of a cooperation agreement with Zeppelin University and have these recognised (without additional fees).
