The Research Group deals with research on the study situation and the students’ orientation. The student survey is used as a key instrument and its range of topics covers the study entrance, motivation for studying and expectations, as well as the quality and outcomes of education, career aspirations and sociopolitical orientations. In the winter semester 2015/16, it has already been carried out for the thirteenth time. On the one hand, the results serve as a base for higher education policy, quality management and public discussion. On the other hand, they contain scientific works on research on higher education.
