After the completion of the 13th survey, the instrument has been extensively revised and realigned. The reason for this were thoughts about a transformation of student research in Germany with the aim of bringing together various surveys. The reorientation of the student survey include a stronger focus on other surveys (e.g., social survey, best-study, NEPS) to obtain comparable data for basic characteristics (e.g., sociodemography, university access, etc.).
The 14th survey, which is scheduled for the winter semester 2020, will be carried out in a joint project together with the DZHW and the DSW.
