Scientific career

From July 2011 until December 2013 Tanja Thielemann (née Falkenberg) worked as a student assistant at the Division for Social and Cultural Anthropology.  She studied political science and economics at the University of Münster and at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Toulouse (B.A.). Her studies in sociology (M.A.) at the University of Konstanz focused on cultural sociology. In the course of her M.A. thesis she conducted an explorative analysis of the concepts of ‘Diversity’ from the perspective of ‘Diversity’-Trainers.

Her Ph.D. project: “Doing ‘Diversity’: An ethnographic comparison of ‘Diversity Management’ in German and French organizations” (working title) is financed by the Center of Excellence "Cultural Foundations of Social Integration".
