Beatrice Salamena, M.A.

 

Beatrice Bianca Salamena graduated in Multilingual Communication from the University of Applied Science Cologne and in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Her research interests lie at the interface between social and cultural anthropology and phenomenology. She understands communication and linguistics to be essential for the understanding of and interactions with people from different cultural backgrounds. She engages in the field of applied anthropology and informs of knowledge production that attend to issues of societal change.

As a researcher at the Research Institute Social Cohesion (RISC) she works on the project "Praktische Integration durch Arbeit? Eine ethnographische Studie zur Arbeitssozialisation von Migranten und Flüchtenden in Deutschland".
